Two-month training course for cobblestone paving begins

Trainees learn how to chisel cobblestones, creating 10cmx10cmx10cm cubes. Cobblestone paving uses all natural and locally available materials and creates many jobs.

To demonstrate the benefits of cobblestone paving, Adama's central marketplace area is now being paved. Although constructing streets and walkways from natural stone is an old practice, it is a trade that virturally does not exist in Ethiopia today.
