Tepi

Tepi is located in the Southern Nations Nationalities People Region (SNNPR), 596 km southwest of Addis Ababa with an elevation of 1097 meters above sea level. Based on 2005 figures from Central Statistical Agency, Tepi has an estimated total population of 10,113. Sheka, Keffa and Amharic are the primary languages spoken in the community and Amharic is used for business communication. Agriculture is the mainstay of the population and trade and commerce with a small service sector.
